The CTE Exploration Day event is about exploring careers in a variety of industries, showcasing local businesses. Businesses bring interactive and engaging exhibits. Students have the opportunity to meet professionals and discover what their job is like, what types of things they do, what kind of training or skills are needed, and more! It's a great event for students to consider what business you might want to visit to learn more. As a high school student, you are encouraged to do job shadows, internships, and work experience, and the CTE Exploration Day is the perfect chance to network and identify possible locations!

We have a large number of returning businesses for the CTE Exploration Day! Also, we are looking forward to some new exhibits and careers that haven't been to our event yet.
Set up: 7:15-8:30 a.m. Map of Businesses
Large equipment, please arrive between 7:15-7:30 a.m.
Lunch is available on site by Elsie's Food Truck. Menu is posted in the "Info for Exhibitors".

Whether you have an idea of what you want to do after high school or not, the more you explore now will give you more clarity of what is available. Now is a great time to get curious and discover what you might or might not want to do after high school. You might be surprised at what careers are availale locally!
During the event, students will complete a Passport with different questions to get to know about participating professionals, their careers, and their companies.
Learning keeps us young. We look forward to hearing what you learn, what you bring back to the classroom, or where you visit as an education tour.

CTE Exploration Day September 18, 2025
The 2025 BCC CTE Exploration Day was a huge success! We heard an overwhelming amount of positive remarks from students, school staff, and exhibitors.
Student participants were delighted by the number of engaging, fun, and interesting activities. Business partners were thrilled with the opportunities to connect with their future workforce.
